About Andy Walmsley

For more than twenty years, I have worked within the property insurance and business services sectors, helping organisations improve the way they operate, support customers and achieve sustainable growth.

My career has been built around solving problems, developing people and creating systems that enable businesses to deliver consistently high standards of service. Whether working with customers, insurers, franchisees or colleagues, I believe that long-term success comes from combining strong leadership with practical, well-designed processes.

Today, I am Group Operations Director of Insurance Solutions Group, where I oversee operations across a portfolio of specialist businesses operating within the property insurance claims, repairs and franchise sectors. My role encompasses operational strategy, franchise development, regulatory compliance, customer service, business improvement and the implementation of new technologies that enhance efficiency and support growth.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside talented people across many areas of the industry. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that successful organisations are built on trust, professionalism and a genuine commitment to delivering the right outcome for customers.

Outside of my day-to-day responsibilities, I enjoy exploring new ideas that can help businesses evolve. I have a particular interest in operational excellence, leadership, digital transformation and the practical application of emerging technologies to improve the way organisations work.

Whilst the industries and technologies around us continue to change, the principles that underpin good business remain constant: integrity, accountability, clear communication and a relentless focus on continuous improvement.

My Professional Approach

Over the years, I have found that the most successful businesses share a number of common characteristics. They have a clear purpose, empowered people and a willingness to continually improve.

These principles shape the way I approach my work every day:

  • Build systems that enable people to succeed.

  • Put customers at the centre of every decision.

  • Make decisions based on evidence, not assumptions.

  • Embrace innovation where it delivers genuine value.

  • Create long-term relationships built on trust and transparency.

  • Never stop learning or looking for better ways of working.

Beyond the Office

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, following developments in business and technology, and continuously learning about new ideas that can improve the way organisations operate.

I believe curiosity is one of the most valuable qualities a leader can have. Whether it's understanding new technology, improving a business process or learning from other industries, there is always an opportunity to grow and apply those lessons in a practical way.

 Looking Ahead

The property insurance and business services sectors continue to evolve rapidly. Customer expectations are changing, technology is advancing and businesses must constantly adapt to remain competitive.

I enjoy being part of that journey—helping organisations embrace change while remaining focused on the people they serve.
